It was a chilly Sunday evening last week when I heard the popping explosions of fireworks. I rushed upstairs to my bedroom where I was able to see out the windows across the Hudson River to the Empire State Plaza of Albany, New York. It was the celebration of the annual lighting of the State Capitol Christmas tree. I'm sure there was holiday music being broadcast, though all I could hear out my window was road noise and the explosions of the fireworks. But I made recordings of a bit of the display and present them here as a bit of early Christmas celebration.
In part 2 I say that this is apparently the grand finale, though it's difficult to hear what I say. Then I say "The end:"
