Every time I drive in to Potsdam I am struck by the beauty and charm of the Potsdam Food Co-Op. Then I began arranging my trips so I could stop there for an organic, tempeh and local greens wrap with a couple of honey/pistachio bars for desert. But on this day I decided I'd also take some photos, beginning with their stunning garden pathway from the sidewalk:
Inside I found baskets, fruits and all manner of natural goodies:
Onions, potatoes, tomatoes:
Various hummus mixes and - well, I don't remember what else:
And produce galore:
Eggs, yoghurt, dairy:
And bulk foods of all kinds. I bought some oat bran, a food which I learned to love long before it became popular. Now its fad status has passed and one can only buy it at such places as the Potsdam Food Co-Op:
Prepackaged grains, flours, mixes:
And coffees, lots of coffees:
And teas:
Cereals of various kinds. But there was lots more to see and I'll post Part 2 tomorrow:
