The Friendly Nook

The farm house kitchen has a friendly corner,

Along the west wall's paneled border, 

A homey place where meals are cooked,

Is set aside a house pets' nook,

Where comfy beds are all collected,

 Where cats and dogs can feel connected,


 Where pets collect in friendly piles,

Where I react with kindly smiles,

There is no squabbling, none indeed,

And peace can reign, it is agreed,

On days when I feel all alone,

I remember the pets who make this home.
