We were predicted to get a wintry mix of sleet, snow and rain, but probably mostly rain in Albany. When I woke up about 2:30 there was nothing at all falling from the sky and I was happy. But about 5:30 it began snowing and by 7:30 it looked like we were having a blizzard. I had to be at work by 8:00, but of course had to shovel snow and tend to the animals. What always amazes me is the total joy which dogs feel in newly fallen snow. It's a miracle of sorts, with even my older dogs kicking up their heels and frolicking like pups. So I grabbed my camera one of the times I let them out so I could capture their happiness. The first photo is of Seamus and Wally, with Daphne and Clover in the background:

More playfulness:

Even old Wally felt happy and did some running back and forth in that Lhasa Apso type of play:

Here's two videos of "Canine Snow Madness:"
And one more time before I let them back in. This one is not particularly frolicsome, but still they are happy pooches. The final frame, of Fergus in mid-air with his ears flapping, is my favorite part:
