As I traveled east on Route 11B, I passed through the villages of Dickinson and East Dickinson. As I crossed the Little Salmon River I entered the village of West Bangor, New York:
I passed by an old church and/or town hall on the right. It too had been allowed to deteriorate. So much history and architecture, sadly, is being lost:
But other old buildings, such as this gorgeous old stone house, have been restored:
No, this is not the same building as above. It's yet another beautifully preserved old stone farm house:
This old home was apparently still occupied even though the front door was falling off:
Another well preserved old frame farm house. I still had a long way to go before I'd arrive in Malone, so I kept driving and snapping photos:
