As I've posted before (but not recently), five of my six dogs come to work with me on Saturday mornings. There they get to see lots of new people and experience some social interaction - for a brief while, that is. After about twenty minutes they look like this. They get bored with all the nice people and begin their collective nap:
Wally never joins the dog pile, but he seems very happy to be there. In fact, he's the first dog every Saturday morning to announce by his great excitement what day it is. It's a mystery to me how he knows it's Saturday, but he does know:
The customers love to snap pictures of the dog pile and I think it's a good sign that my dogs can so easily get bored even with so many people coming and going. They do, however, suddenly spring to life if they hear children's voices. But for the most part, it's just another day at the office for them:
