Dog Day Afternoon

I was sitting at my desk at home working on income tax preparation when I noticed all the sleeping dogs in the room behind me. I quietly got out my camera and took a picture:

Five of the six dogs were lounging in that picture above, but Wally was missing. So I picked him up from where he snoozed in the kitchen and carried him into the living room. Only Fergus got up to see what was going on:

Some dogs sure have a good life. I only wish that all dogs were so loved and cared for. The cats, by the way, were sleeping in the same room but up off the floor:
