The nights are cold and dark here in the north country, but the pets and I are snug and warm indoors:
But our winter was so late arriving this year that the dogs got a lot more outdoor time than normal:
And yet most of their days are spent on the floor pillows in the farm house kitchen;
The chickens too have been the lucky recipients of our late arriving winter. They've been able to spend many days outdoors at a time when they'd normally be locked inside:
All five dogs - Seamus, Daphne, Clover, Fergus and Jack:
Daphne was in the kitchen, watching me. The gloves in the background are hanging above a heat register to dry them out and keep them warm:
All the dogs except Jack, with a special emphasis on Seamus' and Fergus' special relationship:
Clover, Daphne and Jack on the back yard ramp:
Bramble and Clover, nuzzling cheek to cheek:
Daphne, Bramble and Clover:
Bramble on a kitchen chair, watching to be sure everything meets with his approval:
One last photo of all the dogs plus Bramble. This one has the look of a "Night Before Christmas" photo. Alas, it's too late for that now:
