
And just moments from entering the town I stopped once more to photograph the view of Whiteface Mountain:

And the Olympic Ski Jumps. The town of Lake Placid is only 50 feet or so ahead of me now:

And as I was leaving Lake Placid, I passed this old inn with a sign which dated it back to 1833:

I was fascinated by the Stagecoach Inn and checked it out on the internet when I got home. I found this photo of its interior on the Inn's own website. It's in the true Adirondack style:
