Chapter 3 - Converse Road, Fort Jackson NY

I was amazed at how much of Fort Jackson I'd previously missed. Converse Road had many homes and a few farms. This home was accented by wonderful White Pines:

A simple, smaller home set back in the trees:

And a magnificent old farm:

A very old, abandoned home with lots of old windows leaning against the front porch:

A very distinguished looking green home with matching carriage house/barn:

A nice home with a deck for observing the surrounding countryside:

  I got to the end of Converse Road and turned onto the county road, crossing the St. Regis River:

Just across the bridge I passed this older home:

I was already off of Converse Road, but I wanted to take one more photo. This lovely brick home on 2.5 wooded acres was sold just last year for about $65,000. What a bargain! But this was the last photo I took on my driving tour of Converse Road:
