We'd driven all the way to the farm from Albany, hiked in to Allen Falls and toured Catherinesville on Sunday. I was tired, and so were the pooches:
The floor pillows in the farm house kitchen were popular spots:
Seamus was especially tired from our hike and stretched out over the old heat register (no longer used). Wally and Madeline were resting in the next room:
I'd brought up a little bedside table with me, but it needed painting. On a whim I'd purchased a can of "Red Delicious" which looks pink when first applied, but dries to a nice, darker red:
The kitchen table is the favorite spot for all of us in the house, at least when we're not in bed:
Seamus managed to haul his butt over to the floor pillows. He barely fits, but they are so close together that he can use several:
I decided that I was tired also, and went upstairs for a quick nap. The dogs were waiting for me when I got there:
I carried the newly reddened table up to a spare bedroom and set it in place. For now, it's the only piece of furniture in the room:
