Letting Sleeping Cats Lie

Most mornings I pick everything up off my living room floor in preparation for vacuuming. I collect the dog toys and rawhide chewies, piling them in one tray of the carpeted cat tree. But recently I found Snoozey already napping there. So I just piled the rawhide chewies in there with him, draping the rope toy right over his body. He seemed to love it. The dogs are his friends, so perhaps their scent was comforting and pleasing to him:

Rocky was comfortable in the tray just above Snoozey's, and he rolled over flirtatiously for me to get his photo:

Two happy boys in their cat tree:

Draco and Bramble were more ambitious, sharing the food and water dispensers which are up off the floor to keep the dogs out of them:

Georgette was up at the top of the stairs, comfortable in her cushioned cat-cube:

But when I cleaned at the top of the stairs she came downstairs and continued her nap in an elevated dog bed. I guess that's why they call them "cat naps:"
