I continued on my driving tour of Elliott Road, stopping momentarily to snap a picture of this attractive farm yard with its barn, outbuildings, maple trees and split rail fence:
I passed by marshes, still frozen over but beautiful nonetheless:
And this old barn, far beyond repair although hay was still being stored beneath its last remaining section of roof:
A lovely old brick farm house with an antique tractor, apparently in active use, out front:
Hay fields with cattails in front of them and forest behind them:
A small barn provided a home for canoes and a snowmobile. A horse trailer rested in the snow out behind:
Another farm house with barns, both big and small:
These muscular draft horses were quite a distance off the road, munching hay. I used the zoom lens to get a shot of them, but they certainly saw me and watched with curiosity:
A small, blue home surrounded by snow:
And lots of old farm equipment for sale along the road, all covered with snow:
And more old farm equipment for sale with the remnants of an old outbuilding in the background:
This old barn had collapsed to the point that its original shape was unrecognizable. Elliott Road had begun as mostly forest but became farmland as I traveled. But I wasn't finished yet. I'll post Part 3 tomorrow:
