I discovered, as I uploaded these photos, that every one of them is of my dogs and cats lounging around, caught in a moment of ease and comfort. I am proud to have provided my pets a good life:
I found little Clover snoozing in the shade of the rose bushes one warm afternoon:
Daphne, Jack and Fergus relaxed on their ramp:
But as always, the most popular resting spot is the corner of the kitchen, where there are dog beds on the floor. This collection of pets is Clover, Daphne, Fergus and Rocky:
The second most popular resting spot is the ramp into the back yard, shaded and scented by the Rugosa Roses:
Another kitchen lineup: Clover, Jack, Fergus and Daphne:
Just inside the kitchen door, I had Fergus, Seamus, Jack and Daphne watching my every move. I was cooking at the time, so they were hopeful:
Sweet and gentle old Snoozey. He's beginning to show his age but he's happy and comfortable:
Bramble has taken over PeeWee's dog bed beneath my computer desk:
Again on the ramp - Clover, Seamus, Jack and Fergus:
Georgette has remained an upstairs cat ever since we moved to the farm, but she's begun coming downstairs more often since my sister was here. I wonder if she comes down hoping to find her again. Alas, my sister is gone and Georgette will have to make do with my company:
Again in the kitchen, hoping I'll drop some food or share a dirty pan - Jack, Seamus and Daphne. As I said, they are living the good life:
