My new camera takes better photos inside the barn than the old camera did, and the little horses have been spending a lot of time there - so I've taken a few pictures of them:
They have preferred poop spots, like the corner you can see behind Remy. They pee, however, wherever and whenever the spirit moves:
When the weather is nice, I lock them out of the barn during the day - but the weather hasn't been very nice lately:
Remy was thrilled with a floor covered in new hay, right after I'd cleaned the barn. He made sure it didn't stay clean, though:
Outdoors, our weather has swung from ice to grass to snow and back again. Each new day is a new adventure. Remy doesn't seem to mind any of it:
Blue is more tender by nature, but he usually follows his buddy, Remy, wherever he goes:
Both little horses keep eating grass off a pasture that truly doesn't seem to have any:
I worry about them when there is ice on the ground, but they seem to know how to handle it:
Yes, in the right light Blue looks more brown than black:
Remy's coloration is more stable, regardless of the lighting, though sometimes it has quite a red sheen:
I am slowly removing this old fence, a few sections each year, but the horses will miss using it to scratch their butts when it's gone:
After playing a merry game of Chase, Blue and Remy stopped for a rest. They will be glad when the weather improves - and so will I:
