St. Lawrence County Route 14 - Part 1

I was returning home from an appointment in Ogdensburg and, since I was in the area, decided to stop at the gun store. I turned onto County Route 14 and immediately realized that this was a lovely rural road on a gloriously sunny day and I should be taking pictures:

This was real farm country:

This prosperous looking farm had a number of barns out behind the house:

An older home which probably has a lot of history behind it:

The best part about this old barn was the two pink flamingos atop the barn door track. A sense of humor helps the world go 'round:

A wrap-around porch, an almost universal feature of country homes here, both old and new:

Twin silos plus multiple barns and outbuildings. But there was more to see on County Route 14, so I'll post Part 2 tomorrow:
