Seamus and Fergus watched me while I worked in the kitchen. Notice how woolly they both were. This photo was taken before they got their autumn haircuts:
And here's Seamus and Fergus, freshly coifed and just home from the groomer. Jack and Daphne watched from the background:
Georgette began to sleep all the time, even more than usual, and seemed to be losing interest in everything. She is elderly, so I began to suspect that she was slipping slowly away but decided to let her go in peace. She is not in any distress and still purrs contentedly when I pet her. As I write this, she's sleeping comfortably:
And speaking of sleeping cats, young Bugsy began returning to his bed on the small table in the kitchen:
As always, the kitchen corner is the most popular place for the dogs to nap. In this case it was all five of them - Fergus, Daphne, Clover, Seamus and Jack:
Upstairs in my bedroom, Meghan had just finished her lettuce and was napping when I tried to take her picture. She awoke with a start and began to run underneath the shelf (where Ruby was already sleeping), but then decided to watch me with curiosity. Who knows but that I might be there to offer some more lettuce:
Another kitchen corner collection - Jack, Daphne, Fergus and Clover:
Jack and Daisy, alert in case I might drop something edible or decide to pet someone:
The dogs love their time outdoors and love to collect on the ramp:
The kitchen corner is popular and the big, green floor pillow is the most popular sleeping spot there. Bugsy often curls up with the dogs on it, but in this case he sprawled instead of curled:
Daphne, Fergus and Seamus in the bedroom:
My welcoming committee: Daisy, Fergus, Seamus, Daphne, Jack and Clover. Bugsy was there too but not visible in the photo. As for Georgette, she stays downstairs at night and I give her canned cat food where the other animals can't steal it:
